learning that structure is self care too 🎀

Trying to become more organized while my brain still be all over the place is honestly a journey 😭🎀 like some days I’m productive and on top of everything and other days I’m surviving off reminders, screenshots, caffeine, and vibes. But I’ve been learning that keeping yourself afloat is still progress too. This page is basically the little habits and routines helping me get my life together slowly instead of overwhelming myself trying to fix everything overnight. Still healing, still learning balance, still trying… but at least now I’m trying with a little more structure 🤎

5/15 Edited to

... Read moreFrom personal experience, embracing structure as a form of self-care has been transformative. Initially, I struggled with feeling overwhelmed by trying to fix everything at once, which only drained my energy and motivation. What truly helped me was breaking my day into manageable habits—like setting alarms for important tasks, making lists to free my mind, and meal prepping when I had energy. These small actions gave me a sense of control without pressure. I also found that treating my notes app as a “second brain” helped me capture fleeting thoughts before they slipped away, preventing mental clutter. Keeping snacks and water nearby maintained my physical well-being during busy times. One key lesson was learning to clean and organize small areas gradually rather than attempting a complete overhaul, which felt more achievable and less daunting. A surprising yet powerful realization was that rest and breaks are integral parts of productivity—they’re not signs of failure. Listening to music and allowing myself to breathe before feeling overwhelmed changed my approach to self-care. Affirmations like "slow progress is still progress" became crucial reminders that consistency beats perfection. Ultimately, this gradual buildup of structure has not only kept me afloat but also fostered healing and balance in the chaos. Accepting that some days I’ll feel on top and others I won’t, and still being kind to myself, has been liberating. If you’re navigating your own journey, remember: organizing your life at your own pace and respecting your limits is indeed a powerful form of self-care.
