Afternoon run

I recently started incorporating afternoon runs into my daily schedule, and the experience has been truly refreshing. Unlike early morning runs, an afternoon session helps me shake off the midday slump and regain focus for the rest of the day. Running after lunch offers a perfect way to recharge both body and mind, especially when faced with hours of desk work. One thing I found helpful is paying attention to the timing and intensity of the run. Since digestion is still active, I wait at least 30 minutes after a light snack or lunch before heading out. This prevents discomfort and allows me to enjoy my run fully. Additionally, choosing a scenic route or a green park adds motivation because of the calming environment and fresh air. From a practical standpoint, afternoon runs can be excellent for muscle performance and flexibility. My muscles seem more warmed up compared to mornings, reducing stiffness and the risk of injury. Plus, the daylight helps maintain a positive mood thanks to natural vitamin D. If you’re considering afternoon running, I recommend starting with moderate distances and gradually increasing. Also, wearing breathable, moisture-wicking clothing helps manage sweat during warmer parts of the day. Don't forget to hydrate adequately before and after your run.
