Spend day 3 with me. 75 Hard Edition 💪🏼

Hey everybody! This is a bit of what I did on Wednesday 17th for the tasks of the 75 Hard.

Chronologically:

✨I woke up at 8.20 am and the I had breakfast at 9.00 am. I had oatmeal with blueberries and SF chocolate chips (melted) and 2 pieces of bacon for extra protein intake. That meal was a total of 349 kcal 61g Carbs, 11g Protein and 9g Fat.

✨I took a Yoga Class for 45 minutes as my first workout of the day, I burnt approximately 117 kcal. But I felt I could do more so I hopped on the escalator for almost 22 minutes and I burnt 187 extra kcal.

✨Lunch at 1.00 pm. I ate shrimp taco with some baby carrots and hummus. 495 kcal 35g Carbs, 42g Protein and 25g Fat.

✨Took the doggies to the dog park and I thought it was a good idea to walk around to catch up with my steps as a second workout.

✨Snack at 5.20 pm: very creamy homemade strawberry protein icecream 10/10! (Let me know if you want the recipe) 251 kcal 19g Carbs, 23g Protein and 9g Fat.

✨Dinner at 8.50 pm. I wasn’t really hungry so I decided to have a small dinner. I had some steak ribs (I took the bone out to measure properly) with some veggie noodles and asparagus. 480 kcal 42C/41P/16F

✨Before bedtime I read ten more pages of Atomic Habits as my non-fictional book (pages 23-32), I like it so far. While reading I took my last sips of water for the day to reach my 2.5 liters intake.

✨Last two pictures are screenshots of my activity for the day and calories burnt, and my calorie and macros intake to make sure that I’m reaching my goals and have a balance.

I’m really enjoying the process but I can’t wait to see the results! 😁

One of the biggest game-changers for me has been truly understanding my nutrition. It’s not just about eating 'healthy,' but about making sure I fuel my body correctly. For breakfast, my oatmeal with blueberries and SF chocolate chips isn't just tasty; adding bacon gives me that extra protein boost to keep me full and energized. Similarly, my shrimp taco for lunch, paired with baby carrots and hummus, offers a balanced mix of protein, carbs, and healthy fats. And let me tell you, that homemade strawberry protein ice cream for a snack? A lifesaver! It satisfies cravings while keeping my protein intake up. I rigorously track my calories and macros daily, which includes noting every ingredient, even taking the bone out of steak ribs to measure accurately. This meticulous approach has been crucial for staying on track and ensuring I'm meeting my body's needs without overdoing it. Workouts are another pillar of the 75 Hard challenge, and I've found that flexibility within the rules is key. My first workout is often a structured session like yoga, which helps with strength and mental clarity. But sometimes, like after yoga, I feel like I can do more, so I'll add in something extra, like hopping on the escalator for a targeted burst of cardio. My second workout often involves getting outside, like taking a walk with my doggies at the dog park. It's a great way to hit those step goals – I'm aiming for at least 11,260 steps a day – and get some fresh air. Don't underestimate the power of these 'active recovery' sessions; they add up and contribute significantly to overall fitness. Beyond food and exercise, mental fortitude and hydration are non-negotiable. Reaching my 2.5 liters of water intake daily is a constant effort, often requiring me to sip throughout the day, even right before bedtime. And the daily reading? 'Atomic Habits' has been incredibly insightful. It reinforces the idea that small, consistent actions lead to significant results, which is essentially the entire premise of 75 Hard. It's not just about the physical transformation, but the mental discipline and habit formation that truly makes this challenge impactful. If you're on this journey or thinking of starting, focus on building sustainable habits, listen to your body, and celebrate every small victory. What strategies are helping you stay motivated?
