The Golden Skybridge provided breathtaking panoramic views that are especially beautiful at sunset, offering a unique perspective of the surrounding mountains and valley. Golden’s local cafés like Bacchus Books & Café and Chai Bar were wonderful spots to unwind, offering cozy atmospheres with great coffee and light bites that energized us for the day’s adventures. We highly recommend taking some time to stroll along the river walk, a serene path ideal for reflection or an easy walk with friends or family. For some lighthearted fun, the mini golf course was a surprisingly enjoyable activity, perfect for all ages and a nice break from hiking or sightseeing. Downtown Golden presented an authentic small-town vibe with charming shops and local art galleries, lending a chance to pick up souvenirs or chat with friendly locals. When it came to dining, Raven + Pine stood out as one of the best dinner spots with an impressive menu featuring locally sourced ingredients and a warm ambiance, making it a perfect spot to cap off an adventurous day. Rockwater Grill & Bar also offered a lively atmosphere with great drinks, ideal for a casual night out. Staying at the Prestige Inn Golden provided comfortable accommodations with easy access to all these attractions, making it convenient to maximize our time. Overall, Golden surprised us with its grandeur and welcoming community, making it an excellent choice for anyone seeking a memorable BC road trip with a mix of nature, culture, and relaxation.
