I'm Taking my Hobbies Back 🐌
"Why are you posting knitting.. isn't this a crochet account?"
Let's be honest, everyone knows me as 'that crochet flower girl' but, even I get tired of them! In the past couple years I've made nearly 60 different flower designs. I've only released patterns for a handful (writing up designs is my least favourite thing ever 😅).
In the last month or so I ventured on a little Holiday Hobby Hop experimenting with new crafts for inspiration, some filmed and some not. Leaving my little niche space is scary, and I feel like I'm falling behind for not being experimental enough with my craft, for not making wearables, for not trying enough yarn types, and so on.
To be fair, making it my full time business also 'ruined my hobby' so I can't put it all on social media, but here's to the first step of getting better at my craft by being more open!
Hopefully by picking up some crochet and knit patterns of non-flower makes, I can improve my pattern writing too. Ill need it for a certain hoya plant pattern Ill be working on soon 👀✨️

As someone who also found herself falling victim to the social media hobby craze one things that’s helped me tremendously is waiting at least 4-7 days before starting something new. If I forget about it by then it was clearly a trend and not a desire
