A MUCH NEEDED FRIDGE CLEAN OUT!! 🫧🫧 #organization #fridgeorganization #fridgecleanout #organizewithme #cleanwithme
Cleaning out the fridge can truly transform your kitchen experience. When I recently tackled my own fridge clean out, I realized how much expired or forgotten items tend to accumulate—things like old cheese, organic maple syrup nearing its best-by date, or half-used dairy products such as sharp cheddar or grass-fed butter. Sorting through everything carefully ensures you avoid waste and helps you notice what staples need replenishing. I found that organizing items by type—dairy on one shelf, condiments in the door, fruits and veggies in designated crispers—makes grabbing what you need easier and reduces clutter. Using clear storage bins also helps contain smaller packages and creates visual order. Regular fridge cleaning also involves wiping down shelves and drawers with gentle, food-safe cleaners to eliminate lingering odors and harmful bacteria. This step is especially necessary after discarding spoiled food to keep your fridge smelling fresh and your family safe. Additionally, labeling foods with dates and organizing by expiration can save you money and reduce food waste. Remember, products labeled "100% grass-fed" or "organic" might have different storage requirements, so checking and following guidelines preserves their quality. Lastly, setting a recurring schedule—for example, every two weeks—to quickly check the fridge condition prevents messes from piling up and keeps your kitchen organized. This small habit has made a big difference in my home, encouraging healthier eating and an easier cooking routine.
