This series is amazing! It just gets better😍⚾️🧢👩‍🍳

⭐️Overall rating: 5/5: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The tropes featured in this book:

•coach’s daughters

•he falls first

•baseball player x nanny

•age gap

•found family

•single dad trope

This book is so cute! The main character, Miller, is a rebound chef known for her desserts. Although she’s at the top of her career, she’s not as happy as she expected.

She decides to take some time off from helping restaurants improve their dessert menus, and heads to where her dad lives. He coaches professional baseball team in Chicago, so spending the season with him (at least for the summer) will help her clear her head. Her dad offers her a job babysitting one of his players kids during the season and she accepts, little did she know her life would be flipped upside down and her life dreams would completely change.

In comes Kai, the male main character, who’s a single dad of a 1 year old and a professional baseball player. The girls he got pregnant didn’t want the kid and dropped him off with Kai. Ever since then Kai has strived to be the best father possible, including firing every nanny his son max has ever had. He’s overprotective, but miller will help loosen him up. Also the kid in this story you just fall in love with.

Must read!!!

... Read moreOkay, let's be real for a second: how many of us have picked up a book purely because the cover art just spoke to us? For me, 'Caught Up' by Liz Tomforde was absolutely one of those moments. Before I even knew about the fantastic single-dad trope or the undeniable chemistry between Miller and Kai, that cover had already drawn me in. It's more than just a pretty picture; it's a visual promise of the story waiting inside, and it definitely delivered. When you look at the cover for 'Caught Up,' what immediately jumps out is that brilliant blend of a vibrant cityscape contrasting with the familiar green of a baseball field. It’s not just a generic background; it feels specific, hinting at the Chicago setting where much of the story unfolds. You can almost feel the energy of the urban environment, representing Miller’s world as a talented, but perhaps unfulfilled, chef. Then, perfectly integrated, is the baseball diamond – a clear nod to Kai’s life as a professional athlete. The way these two elements are composed really speaks volumes about the forced proximity and the clash of their worlds. The lighting often seems to suggest either a golden hour glow or the dramatic lights of a stadium at night, adding to the romantic and slightly high-stakes atmosphere. The font chosen for 'Caught Up' feels modern yet approachable, perfectly matching the contemporary romance vibe of Liz Tomforde's writing. This cover isn't just aesthetically pleasing; it's incredibly symbolic. The baseball field isn't just scenery; it’s Kai’s domain, representing his dedication as a player and, by extension, his fiercely protective nature as a single dad. The cityscape, on the other hand, embodies Miller's journey – her professional aspirations, her need for a change, and her eventual immersion into a life she never expected. It perfectly encapsulates the 'baseball player x nanny' and 'coach’s daughters' tropes without giving away too much. It sets up the dynamic beautifully: two individuals from seemingly different worlds, brought together by fate and circumstance, with a little one-year-old Max stealing all our hearts. For me, a great book cover tells a mini-story. It creates an anticipation, a certain mood, and 'Caught Up's' cover absolutely nails it. It promises a heartwarming romance full of charming characters, an engaging plot, and a setting that feels both grand and intimate. It makes you expect a story where unexpected connections flourish amidst the backdrop of city lights and the roar of the crowd. This cover doesn't mislead; it accurately reflects the emotional depth and charming fun that Liz Tomforde weaves into every chapter. It's the kind of cover that makes you want to proudly display the book on your shelf long after you've turned the last page. So, if you're like me and appreciate not just a fantastic story but also the meticulous design that introduces it, take a moment to really look at the 'Caught Up' book cover. It's a testament to how visual art can enhance the reading experience and, in this case, perfectly capture the essence of a 5/5 romance. It’s a visual invitation to dive into Kai and Miller’s unforgettable love story!
