Our parents built houses they’ll never live in, sent money back home like clockwork, did the bare minimum for us, and still expect praise, luxury, and a monthly wire transfer like we’re the providers now.

They call it “sacrifice.” But sacrifice for who? ‘Cause I only remember pressure, guilt, and silence when I struggled.

We’re carrying trauma and taxes. And it’s wild how normalized that’s become. But honestly? It ends with us. We are not continuing this cycle.

This post really speaks volumes. It’s like we grew up watching “sacrifice” turn into survival mode, and now we’re expected to continue the cycle with a smile. Healing starts with us, and it’s okay to choose peace over pressure. Sending love to anyone trying to unlearn all this. 💛
