Perhaps the love story of Annie’s life is learning to love herself ❤️

Yesterday I led a Big Talk icebreaker at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility as part of their Mental Health Day, co-organized by the men inside including @free_freddie_hernandez @justice4stone , @mcbroderick, @lisa_erspamer and @theofficialbrettmaypage of the Life without Parole Foundation.

@Annie Korzen also known as Krispy Kreme lady at 87 was recently published in Modern Love! When I read her article I reached out to @makebigtalk about love, loss, and resilience. Annie also shared that she has a book out! ❤️

Diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer, @doug_cartwright has been told he has 12-15 months left to live. I am in awe of his choice to live with so much grace, light, love, and courage, and it was an honor to @makebigtalk with him. Doug has a @gofundme which I will link in my bio.

Rest in Peace, Roger ❤️, thank you for your service. 🐕‍🦺 Roger, the Santa Monica Firefighter K-9 peer support dog helped both firefighters and community members with mental health.
