Hiking With Hardware
It has been 6 years since my car accident that completely changed my body (mostly my legs).
Backstory: Back in 2018, I was involved in a head on car accident. Someone crossed the line on a two lane highway and hit me head on. I broke seven bones, including both my legs. I had a pilon fracture that called for hardware and cadaver bone in my right ankle, a knee fracture, a left femur break calling for hardware and left hip break calling for pins and needles.
Today, I decided to switch it up and go for a hike instead of the gym. It was a beautiful day that called for some rain but I didn’t think I would be on a train that long. Plot twist I need to learn how to read signs. I made a wrong turn and ended up on two other trails, let’s just say I decided to turn around and go back the way I started.
Now, I’m so sore. I definitely need to invest in some muscle or something to relieve leg and ankle pain even though it’s been six years.
