It's true that the Blue Cash Preferred card, which I personally use and love for its impressive cash back, comes with an annual fee. But for those just starting their credit card journey or looking for a no-annual-fee option, the American Express Blue Cash Everyday card is definitely worth considering. It’s a fantastic way to step into the world of Amex rewards without the yearly commitment. Think of the Blue Cash Everyday as the Preferred's younger sibling – still fantastic, but designed for slightly different spending habits. For me, the higher rewards on groceries and streaming with the Preferred card easily justify the annual fee because of my household's spending patterns and how much we spend in those categories. But if your grocery spending is lower, or if you frequently purchase items online and spend a lot on gas, the Everyday card could easily be your go-to, saving you that annual fee while still earning great rewards.
