Not Your Mama’s Craft Market
The Exchange - Bridge Park
11-3 Ticketed entry required
3-5 free admission
Dublin, Ohio
Skip the last minute mothers days flowers and come see the birds in person instead. I’m here at the Not Your Mamas Craft Market happening today in Dublin, Ohios Bridge Park. 80 other makers, artists and creators are here today and today only. This is genuinely one of my favorite events of the entire season.
It doesn’t matter how many times I do this, how many times I sell more than I ever thought. How many times I meet wonderful people. I have always, am currently and will forever FREAK the 24-48 hours before an in person event. Please come say hi, buy a bird or just come tell me your best, most niche bird fact and see if it’s one I don’t already know. (If you can’t come up with one I’ll tell you one of mine promise.)

Attending the Not Your Mama’s Craft Market is truly a rewarding experience, especially if you appreciate unique handcrafted art and want to support local creators. From my experience, one of the best parts of these markets is the vibrant community atmosphere and the chance to discover pieces you won’t find anywhere else. The excitement builds up before the event, as artists prepare their displays and engage in what some call a "quiet ritual" — a complete freak out filled with anticipation and nerves about selling art and meeting new people. This emotional rollercoaster is part of what makes live markets so authentic and exciting. If you love birds or are curious about bird art, this market offers a special opportunity to see exquisite hand-painted birds up close. Many artists, including those at this event, take pride in their intimate knowledge of avian species, often sharing interesting niche facts about birds — like how some species use unique calls to communicate or how their feathers have distinct color patterns that help identify them. If you’re unsure what to say, don’t worry; artists are usually eager to share fascinating bird trivia. Ticketed entry between 11 am and 3 pm ensures a well-organized and intimate shopping experience, while free admission from 3 pm to 5 pm makes it easy for anyone to drop by and enjoy the creative energy. Besides shopping, it’s a chance to meet the makers behind the art, hear their stories, and even gain insights about their creative processes. Having attended similar craft events, I can say that connecting with artists creates a deeper appreciation for the artwork and often leads to meaningful conversations. Lastly, instead of rushing for last-minute Mother's Day flowers, visiting this market provides a unique gift alternative that supports independent artists and brings more lasting joy. Whether you buy a bird painting, a handcrafted item, or simply soak in the artistic vibes, the Not Your Mama’s Craft Market at Bridge Park is an event not to be missed if you’re in the Dublin or Columbus, Ohio area.
