How I lost 138 lbs

I am glad you are here. know you are beautiful no matter what.

I was always overweight starting since I was 2 years old. Gaining weight that was unexplained.

My mother was always trying to do the best for me. When I was 18 years old, I was 336 lbs. And under going weight loss surgery (in 2008). There weren't many options in weight loss surgeries. This was also a decision I made after years of nutritional counseling and not being able to lose weight with exercise and a healthy diet. I decided to have the gastric bypass. A very invasive procedure to have. As well as a huge lifestyle change and extremely painful. However, I would make the same decision a 100x over.

I'm sure you are wondering why I am now 3 years into doing keto if I had weight loss surgery. Well, over the years, my weight has fluctuated, and I also had major health setbacks. As well as many surgeries. And the biggest life change ever, a miracle pregnancy.

I knew I wanted to be healthy and be able to play with her and not feel so awful and obese. I may not be at my goal weight. Along the way, I have learned more about my body and feeding it foods that make@ it feel great and not cause my health problems to flare up.

Dirty keto is how I am able to be in less pain and keep my flare up down as long as I stick to keto or as close to it on my off months. 3 months on keto, 1 month off.
