The Neuroscience of Egoic Love: Do You Love Him, Or Just Love Yourself with Him?

One of the most psychologically challenging processes of self-reflection is to dispel one's feelings to determine whether what we call "love" is actually pure goodwill, or just a hidden Ego survival mechanism.

When a thought architecture is driven by selfishness (Ego-driven), the brain doesn't process this relationship as a team-up handshake (Partnership), but it does look at partners as just a "resource" whose job is to feed confidence, maintain an image, and fulfill your missing physiological and psychological state.

The characteristic of "self-loving" people in a relationship is that the empathy circuit will work conditionally. They will feel love and goodwill only if the other person is present. But as soon as the partner shows a fragile, flawed human being or a different logical system, their forebrain will command attention and see that as a distraction that costs their lives.

Treating a virtual lover as a "Narcissistic Extension" is a long-term destruction of the nervous system of both sides. The right person will lose his identity, while the control will never find peace, because the brain must constantly evaluate emotional gains and losses.

Effective and lasting love based on deep psychology, demanding a high degree of maturity to do Zero-Ego.

That is, allowing the other person to exist with absentee rights in his own body and mind, respect personality differences, and be happy to see him grow in his path...Without necessarily, that growth always hovers around you.

An image titled "Somatic Awareness: Listening to the Body's Wisdom" explains that somatic awareness is about tuning into the body's felt sense to listen, not fix. It notes trauma is encoded in the body, and this work restores inner safety and presence, set against a background of water and green plants.
This image defines "What Is Somatic Awareness?" explaining that 'soma' means 'living body.' It describes exploring internal landscapes through sensation, breath, posture, and presence, emphasizing feeling over thinking for healing, set against a background of pebbles and water.
Titled "Neuroscience Behind the Practice," this image details how shifting awareness to bodily sensations engages the insula and prefrontal cortex, while softening the amygdala. This regulates the nervous system, inviting presence and sovereignty, with a rainy window background.
