Thinking big is important.

But it means nothing without action.

I could imagine myself running workshops.

Teaching people pixel art.

Meeting new people.

Seeing students genuinely enjoy creating something.

I could picture all of it clearly in my head.

But if I never sent the pitch,

never reached out,

never showed up and tried,

none of it would’ve happened.

No students.

No workshops.

No experience.

No growth.

That’s something I’ve realised more over time:

Most people already have ideas.

The difficult part is acting on them while uncertainty is still there.

Before you feel fully ready.

Before you know if it’ll work.

Before you feel confident enough.

The idea usually isn’t the hard part.

Action is.

And honestly, a lot of opportunities in life only appeared after I took a step first.

Not after I felt prepared.

You probably don’t need a perfect plan right now.

You just need a first move.

... Read moreFrom my own experience, I've learned that the gap between dreaming big and actual success is bridged entirely by action. Thinking about starting a new project or launching a workshop is exciting, but if you don’t follow through, nothing changes. I recall a time when I envisioned running pixel art workshops, meeting passionate students, and seeing their creations come alive. However, the real turning point came only after I sent that initial pitch and took the step to engage others. The phrase “BIG THINKING MEANS NOTHING IF YOU DON’T ACT” really resonates because it highlights a universal truth: most people have great ideas, but few take the decisive steps needed to make them tangible. Early on, I struggled with waiting to feel fully ready or having a perfect plan. But opportunities rarely wait for perfect timing; they appear only when you take the first move despite uncertainty. Uncertainty can be intimidating—fear of failure, not knowing the outcome, or feeling underprepared can hold anyone back. Yet, taking action can create momentum where none existed, opening doors and building experience that confidence alone can’t replace. I encourage anyone with aspirations to remember this: you don’t need a perfect plan or full confidence before starting. Just begin. Reach out, pitch your idea, experiment, and learn by doing. Through these actions, small wins accumulate, leading to growth and new opportunities that you couldn’t have predicted if you stayed stuck in planning or hesitation. So, if you have a big vision in your head, ask yourself what first step you can take today to move toward it. That initial action is often the catalyst you need to transform your big thinking into real impact.
