Looking back on eight years since 'Demon Mine' first hit shelves, I realize how much the writing process is both humbling and rewarding. Crafting a paranormal romance featuring a demon incubus wasn’t just about building a magnetic storyline; it was about exploring themes of captivity, love, and salvation in new ways. One thing I frequently learned is that even when you feel you've figured out your style or genre, the landscape constantly shifts, and you continually grow as a writer. For fellow authors and readers interested in paranormal romance, I'd say don't shy away from mixing elements like demons and romance if they resonate with you. The magnetism between characters can transform your story entirely, much like the magnetic connections in a crossword puzzle create harmony between words. Taking this time to revisit my debut novel has reignited my passion and reminded me that every published book is just the start of many more stories to tell.
