Seeing my bump at 25 weeks 3 days now, it brings back so many memories of those earlier weeks when everything felt so new and uncertain. I remember constantly checking for changes, wondering when my belly would truly start to show. It’s a journey filled with so many unique milestones.
For those of you who might be around 10 weeks pregnant, you're right in the thick of the first trimester's quiet but powerful changes. At this stage, you might be feeling some of the classic symptoms like morning sickness, extreme fatigue, or even just a general sense of 'offness.' Physically, your clothes might feel a bit snug, but it's likely more bloat than a true baby bump. I remember feeling a bit frustrated that I didn't 'look' pregnant yet, but trust me, your body is doing incredible work behind the scenes. Your little one is rapidly developing, and even though you might not see a visible pregnant belly yet, it's all happening! My advice? Be kind to yourself, rest when you need to, and know that these early weeks are crucial.
Fast forward a few weeks, and at 14 weeks pregnant, many women start to feel a shift. This is often when you're entering the second trimester, sometimes called the 'golden trimester' because a lot of those pesky first-trimester symptoms can start to ease up. This is also when you might finally begin to see that little bump make its debut! For some, it might be a noticeable rounding, while for others, it's still a very subtle change. I distinctly remember checking my profile in the mirror every day, and at 14 weeks pregnant belly started to hint at its presence. It wasn't huge, but it was definitely there, a little harder and more defined than before. It's such an exciting moment when you finally start to 'show' – it makes everything feel so much more real.
Every pregnancy journey is so unique, and how your belly grows can depend on so many factors, from your body type to whether it's your first baby. Don't compare your bump to others too much; your body is doing what it needs to do. Embrace every stage, from the barely-there bump at 10 weeks to the more defined 14 weeks pregnant belly, and eventually to the beautiful roundness I'm experiencing now at 25 weeks 3 days. It's all part of the incredible adventure of growing a human. What were your early weeks like? I'd love to hear your experiences!
