ในบทความนี้มีการนำเสนอกลอนธรรมะที่ชี้ให้เห็นถึงความเสี่ยงของผู้ที่มัวหมองอยู่กับกามคุณ หรือที่เปรียบเหมือนการเก็บดอกไม้หลากสีแต่ไม่มีกลิ่นหอม ซึ่งหมายถึงการยึดติดกับความสุขที่ไม่แท้จริงจนจิตใจไม่รู้จักพอ และสุดท้ายก็ต้องตกอยู่ในอำนาจของความตายหรือมฤตยูอย่างหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้ คำสอนนี้สะท้อนถึงแนวคิดเรื่องการปล่อยวาง ไม่ยึดติดกับกามสุขภายนอกที่เป็นสิ่งไม่เที่ยงและนำมาซึ่งทุกข์ จึงเริ่มจากการรู้จักตนเองและตั้งจิตใจให้มั่นคงในการปฏิบัติธรรมจริงอย่างต่อเนื่องทุกวัน ไม่ใช่เพียงแค่การฟังหรืออ่านธรรมะผ่านบทกลอนอย่างผิวเผินที่ “เข้าหูซ้ายแล้วออกหูขวา” โดยไม่มีการนำไปปฏิบัติหรือปรับเปลี่ยนจิตใจ นอกจากนี้บทความยังเน้นย้ำความเป็นสากลของธรรมะ ที่ครูบาอาจารย์ทุกท่านไม่ได้เขียนเพื่อเจาะจงหรือตีความไปในทางลบหรือลอยตัวตามใจชอบ แต่ต้องเข้าใจอย่างลึกซึ้งและเคารพในวิถีชีวิตของผู้ที่ทรงศีลซึ่งแตกต่างจากปุถุชนทั่วไป การจะเข้าถึงสัจธรรมของชีวิตและธรรมะแท้ๆ นั้น ยิ่งต้องละทิ้งความคิดตื้นเขินและความเห็นแก่ตัว ที่มองว่าผู้ปฏิบัติธรรมเป็นเพียงมนุษย์ธรรมดาที่ใช้ชีวิตเหมือนเรา เสริมด้วยเนื้อหาจาก OCR ที่เตือนให้เราระวังการถูกล่อลวงโดยสิ่งที่ดูเหมือนน่าดึงดูด เช่น ดอกไม้ที่งดงามแต่ไร้กลิ่นหอม เปรียบเทียบคล้ายกับคนที่ชอบสิ่งที่เป็นโทษหรือเสพสิ่งไม่ดี ซึ่งเพิ่มความเข้าใจในเนื้อหาว่าธรรมะไม่ใช่เรื่องสวยหรูแต่ต้องใช้ปัญญาวิเคราะห์และดำเนินชีวิตอย่างมีสติ สำหรับผู้สนใจปฏิบัติธรรม ควรตระหนักเสมอว่า "อันผู้รู้รับรองแล้ว" คือการมีครูบาอาจารย์ที่มีปัญญาจริง รับรองและนำทางในการฝึกฝนตน เคารพในธรรมวินัยอย่างเคร่งครัด เพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงการหลงผิดไปกับคำพูดหรือการกระทำที่ดูเหมือนไม่สอดคล้องกับหลักพระพุทธศาสนา บทความจึงเป็นข้อคิดเตือนใจให้เราดูแลจิตใจไม่ให้มัวหมองเพลิดเพลินกับกามคุณ เพราะนั่นจะนำพาเราไปสู่ความทุกข์และความตายอย่างแท้จริง โดยแทนที่จะยึดติด เพียงเข้าใจธรรมะอย่างถ่องแท้และลงมือปฏิบัติอย่างสม่ำเสมอ เพื่อพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตและจิตใจอย่างยั่งยืน
