การรักษาสติและความไม่ประมาทในชีวิตประจำวันนั้นมีความสำคัญมากกว่าที่หลายคนคิด ความไม่ประมาทไม่ได้หมายถึงการระวังตัวเพื่อป้องกันอันตรายจากภายนอกเท่านั้น แต่ยังหมายถึงการตื่นรู้ในทุกๆ ความคิด ความรู้สึก และการกระทำของตัวเอง เพื่อไม่ให้เราหลงผิดหรือถูกครอบงำด้วยอารมณ์และกิเลส จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว การฝึกสติช่วยให้ผมสามารถจัดการกับความเครียดและสถานการณ์ที่พลิกผันได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ สติทำให้ผมไม่ตกอยู่ในอารมณ์ที่ไม่ดีและสามารถเลือกตอบสนองอย่างรอบคอบในทุกสถานการณ์ เช่น เวลาที่เจอปัญหาหนักใจ ผมจะหยุดคิดและสังเกตความรู้สึกก่อน แล้วค่อยๆ เปิดใจหาวิธีแก้ไขอย่างมีสติและไม่เร่งรีบ คำสอนเรื่องความไม่ประมาทที่บทความนำเสนอนั้น เสมือนคำเตือนที่มีคุณค่าจากพระพุทธเจ้า ซึ่งชี้ให้เห็นว่าความไม่ประมาทเป็นเส้นทางที่นำไปสู่ความเป็นอมตะทางใจ เป็นความปลอดภัยสูงสุดเพราะเมื่อมีสติ เราจะไม่ตกอยู่ในกับดักของความประมาทที่จะนำไปสู่ความทุกข์และการตายทางจิตใจ คำว่า “ชีวิตมันง่าย” ที่ปรากฏในบทความ ก็สื่อถึงความจริงที่ว่าหากเรามีสติอยู่เสมอในทุกลมหายใจ ทุกคำพูด ทุกการกระทำ ชีวิตของเราจะไม่ซับซ้อนหรือยากลำบากอย่างที่คิด ทั้งนี้เพราะสติช่วยให้เรามองเห็นสิ่งต่างๆ อย่างชัดเจนและไม่หลงใหลไปกับสิ่งที่ทำให้เกิดความทุกข์ นอกจากนี้ การมีความไม่ประมาทยังช่วยให้เราเจริญในด้านชื่อเสียงและความเคารพนับถือจากผู้อื่น ผู้ที่มีสติรู้จักพิจารณาและการกระทำของตนอย่างรอบคอบไม่ประมาท ย่อมสามารถดำเนินชีวิตอย่างถูกต้องตามธรรมะและทำให้สังคมรอบข้างเป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อยมากขึ้น ท้ายที่สุดนี้ ผมเชื่อว่าการเข้าใจและนำคำสอนเรื่องสติและความไม่ประมาทไปใช้ในชีวิตจริง ทำให้เราเป็นคนที่มีความสุขมากขึ้นและใช้ชีวิตได้อย่างมีความหมายตามแนวทางของพระอริยะ ทั้งนี้ การเริ่มต้นง่ายๆ คือฝึกสังเกตลมหายใจ การคิด และการกระทำในแต่ละวันด้วยความมีสติ เพื่อสร้างเกาะที่มั่นคงปลอดภัยให้ใจของเราไม่ถูกกระแสของกิเลสและความโง่มาท่วมทับได้ง่ายๆ
