2023 ➡️ 2026
From a baby nurse (student) to a confident nurse. From hair to bald. From posting skincare videos debunking misinformation to flying around the world working with brands I could only dream of. From living in a small town to moving to the big city. 🥲💙
Reflecting on my journey from 2023 to 2026, I realize how much growth happens when you push yourself beyond comfort zones. Starting as a nursing student felt overwhelming—there was so much to learn, and doubt often crept in. But each small step, whether studying skin anatomy or dispelling skincare myths on social media, built my confidence incrementally. One of the most striking parts of this transformation was embracing change, both personally and professionally. Going bald was a liberating experience that symbolized shedding insecurities. It wasn’t just about appearance but owning my identity fully. Sharing honest skincare videos helped me connect with a wider audience and correct common misunderstandings, reinforcing my passion for dermatology. Moving from a small town to a big city opened doors I once only dreamed about. It brought diverse challenges but also unparalleled opportunities to collaborate with global brands. This made me realize that career growth isn’t linear; it’s a mix of persistence, adaptability, and embracing your unique path. For anyone on a similar journey—whether in nursing or another field—embracing your authentic self and continuous learning are key. Transformation isn’t instant; it’s a process of evolving through experiences, setbacks, and breakthroughs. Staying true to your values while being open to new possibilities can lead to surprising and fulfilling outcomes, just like it did for me.
