Recently, I’ve been asked, "Últimamente has estado mucho mejor ¿Cómo le has hecho?" which translates to "Lately, you've been much better. How did you do it?" This question really made me pause and reflect on the journey I’ve been through. When life feels overwhelming or weighted with nostalgia and pain, finding ways to cope and improve can feel daunting. But through trial and error, I’ve learned a few things that truly help. First, acknowledging your feelings without judgment is crucial. It’s okay to feel sadness, anger, or even emptiness. When I embraced my emotions instead of pushing them away, I started to understand myself better and uncovered what I needed to heal. It might be helpful to write down your thoughts or speak with someone you trust. Second, surrounding yourself with positive influences makes a big difference. Whether it’s a friend who listens without criticism, a therapist, or engaging in uplifting activities, these connections provide the support needed during tough times. Third, simple routines such as regular exercise, proper sleep, and mindfulness practices like meditation have boosted my mood and energy. These small habits create a foundation that helps me stay balanced. Lastly, patience and self-compassion are essential. Progress isn’t linear, and it's normal to have setbacks. But every step forward—even the smallest—is a sign of resilience. Sharing these experiences openly reminds me and others that healing is possible. If you find yourself struggling, know that you’re not alone, and that reaching out and taking small positive actions can gradually lead to feeling better.
