how to improve your grades this semester 📚✨
🤍Know your material: it can be really overwhelming to have to study for an exam, knowing that you don’t remember any of the material covered. This is why I like to make sure that I am retaining everything that I am learning so that I don’t need to learn an entire semester's worth of material in three days. How I do this is I do my readings before the lecture, pay attention during the lecture while taking concise notes, review my notes afterward to make sure I didn’t miss anything, and then review them a couple of days after the lecture to help retain the information.
🤍Use the blurting method: this method is really helpful to make sure that you cover every single concept in your textbook. For this method, review all of your notes and your textbook. If you have to cover a lot, you can break this down by unit to make it easier. Then without looking at your textbook or notes, write down everything that you remember. Go back and see if you missed anything and then repeat until you are done.
🤍Manage your time: one of the biggest issues when it comes to being a good student is feeling overwhelmed when it comes to studying. That is why it’s so important to manage your time properly. I really like to use the Pomodoro Method, which is 25 minutes of working to five minutes of break. For more intensive study sessions I like to do two Pomodoros, have a 10-minute break, then take 10 minutes to recall what I learned previously, and then complete another two Pomodoros
