Real life health update 🌿 + A small win
From the elevator going down after a pain~in~the~ass skin check....
now it’s more frequent visits,
autoimmune stuff I didn’t want to hear about,
a “cell watch” on my shoulder,
medication.... and a bill that feels like it costs the arm that has the possible cyst 😅
It was a lot.
BUT — I’m still planning to have a beautiful night anyway✨
As overwhelming as this visit felt,
there’s one thing I am grateful for....
no need for MOHS surgery for the basal cells 🙏
And honestly?!
So tonight — I’m choosing the small win,
taking a breath ☕️
and giving myself a little grace 🌸
Drop a 🤍 if you’re choosing peace tonight
Share this with someone who needs a reminder to look for the small wins
Follow for more real~life motivation (with a little honesty) ✨ 😉 🌿🌸

Navigating health issues often feels overwhelming, especially when unexpected challenges arise like autoimmune conditions or a watchful eye on skin health. From my personal experience, frequent doctor visits, medication routines, and medical bills can add layers of stress, but embracing the small wins can make a huge difference. During my recent skin check, the relief of learning that MOHS surgery wasn’t necessary for basal cell carcinoma was a game changer. It reminded me how vital regular screenings are—not only to catch problems early but also to reduce anxiety by having a clear plan. Many people don't realize that basal cell carcinoma is among the most common yet most treatable skin cancers. Staying vigilant with skin health, especially if you have risk factors, can prevent more invasive procedures. Autoimmune conditions complicate the picture, often bringing unpredictable symptoms and adding to the mental and physical load. Managing these conditions requires patience and ongoing collaboration with healthcare providers. I found that integrating small calming rituals, like savoring a cup of tea or choosing peace for the evening, helped me regain some control over the emotional toll. Self-care is healthcare—this mantra holds true as I balance medical appointments with daily life. Giving yourself grace and celebrating progress, however small, nurtures resilience. For anyone facing similar journeys, I encourage you to seek support, cherish your victories, and remember that health is a path, not a sprint. If you’re dealing with health concerns, consider sharing your story or reaching out to communities focused on skin cancer awareness, autoimmune life, and mental well-being. Sometimes, the act of connecting and acknowledging our experiences is as healing as any treatment.
