If your kids’ friends call you Mom.... even after seeing all the mom moods, welco
Apparently I’m still one of the neighborhood moms. 😂
Menopause’ly unstable, loud Italian, sailor~mouth, slightly feral, and ridiculously soft~hearted, even if I don't show it. ❤️
I may get mom’d 50~eleven times a week, but I wouldn’t trade it.
Still Lynnie. Nice to meet you. 😂

Being known as the neighborhood mom is a badge of honor that comes with its own unique set of challenges and rewards. From personal experience, embracing this role often means adopting many hats: a friend, a disciplinarian, a cheerleader, and sometimes even a referee. What stands out the most in my journey is how the kids’ friends calling me 'Mom' became an endearing symbol of trust and belonging. Even when I'm going through mood swings or menopause-related ups and downs, those little moments of connection make it worth it. It’s interesting how traits like being 'menopause’ly unstable' or having a 'sailor’s mouth' add a genuine, relatable flavor to our mom identity rather than detract from it. I’ve learned that the loud Italian flair and slightly wild spirit often help break the ice with the younger generation, making me approachable and sometimes even the go-to person when the kids need guidance or just someone to listen. The heart of gold beneath the tough exterior shines brightest when defending those who matter or offering unconditional support. Additionally, being the 'accidental mom' to many teaches patience and flexibility. Each child is different, and adapting to those different personalities while keeping your own unique mom brand authentic is a balancing act. Embracing imperfections, from 'slightly feral' moments to those bursts of laughter at your own jokes, is what keeps the role genuine and enjoyable. For anyone finding themselves in a similar role, my advice is to lean into your quirks and loving nature. The title of neighborhood mom is more than just a label—it’s a community built on mutual respect, humor, and shared moments of growth. The occasional curse words or loud outbursts don’t diminish the care behind them; they simply make the story richer and more real.

Apparently I didn’t choose the neighborhood~mom life.... the neighborhood~mom life chose me. 😂 Who else has been accidentally promoted to Mom of everyone?!? 👇
