Glycerin is the very first ingredient on the list, which explains why it was such a moisturizing exfoliator. This is a purely physical exfoliant, without exfoliating acid based ingredients. Instead it uses ground rice. As someone with dry leaning skin, I found that this exfoliating cleanser was nice and gentle, and didn’t overly strip my skin of moisture. It also features willow bark, which is an ingredient that can help with sebum production/acne, meaning it is meant to also work for people with more oily leaning or acne prone skin. But I’ll let other reviewers with those skin types to speak to whether it works for their skin type too or not.

I love that this cleanser this is free of synthetic colorants and fragrances. Fragrance is the very last ingredient on the list, meaning that the scent is an incredibly small percentage. As someone with a sensitive nose, I had no issues with the smell of this product. It was so minimal I could barely register a scent on this product. In my opinion, it mostly just smelled of rice which is a very light scent anyway.

... Read moreWhen it comes to skincare, finding a truly effective yet gentle exfoliator can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. That's why I was so excited to discover the 9 Wishes Rice Foaming Cleanser, and let me tell you, it's become a staple in my routine. Many exfoliants out there rely on harsh acids that can strip the skin, but this one is a gentle exfoliator without acids, making it perfect for those of us who need a lighter touch. What makes it so special? The secret lies in its star ingredient: ground rice. You can actually feel the visible bits of rice as you massage it onto your skin, providing a satisfying, yet incredibly mild physical exfoliation. It uses rice hull to effectively remove dead skin cells without any irritation. I've noticed my skin looks so much brighter and feels smoother after each use. Unlike some cleansers that produce a mountain of foam, this one is not too foamy, which I actually prefer. It creates a creamy, luxurious lather that feels nourishing rather than drying. As someone with dry-leaning skin, I'm always cautious about exfoliants, but this 9 Wishes cleanser has been a game-changer. The first ingredient is glycerin, which explains why it leaves my skin feeling so hydrated and supple, definitely living up to its promise as a gentle exfoliator for dry skin. It never strips away moisture, which is a huge win! But don't let the 'gentle' fool you into thinking it's only for dry skin. The original article mentioned willow bark, an ingredient known for helping with sebum production and acne. This suggests that while it’s fantastic for hydration, it could also be a great option for those with oily or acne-prone skin, offering gentle exfoliation to clear pores without over-drying or irritating. Incorporating this into my routine has been seamless. I typically use it 2-3 times a week, focusing on areas where I tend to get a bit dull. After rinsing, my skin always feels incredibly refreshed and looks noticeably clearer, effectively getting rid of dullness. The lack of synthetic colorants and minimal fragrance is another huge plus for my sensitive nose and skin. It truly has a barely-there scent, mostly just a hint of natural rice, which is very pleasant. If you're on the hunt for a K-beauty cleanser that offers effective physical exfoliation without compromising your skin's barrier, the 9 Wishes Rice Foaming Cleanser is definitely worth trying. It’s a beautifully balanced product that delivers on its promises, leaving you with soft, glowing, and healthy-looking skin.
