When God give you “Not Yet” instead of “No”
🪷Sometimes life doesn’t arrive the way we pictured it.
You plan for one season and step into another. You expect strength and instead find yourself tired. You expect answers and instead receive waiting. You expect provision one way, and God provides another.
🪷Lately I’ve been thinking about how strange and beautiful life can be.
🪷A baby we didn’t expect became one of the greatest blessings. Worries showed up too. Questions about timing, a house, finances, healing, the future, and whether everything would come together the way we hoped.
🪷There were moments where it felt like just life paused.
Work slowed…Plans shifted…The world got quieter…
🪷But looking back… maybe God wasn’t taking something away. Maybe He was making room.♥️Room for more evenings together. More conversations. More time before life changes again. More moments we might have missed if everything had gone exactly according to our plan.
🪷Maybe God knew this season needed softness before the next one arrived.
🪷The truth is, we still don’t have every answer. The house isn’t here yet. The future isn’t fully written. The path still has pieces missing. But somehow… we’re still standing. 💪🏽
🪷Still making it. Still moving. Still loved.
🪷Maybe faith isn’t always found in big miracles. Maybe sometimes it looks like two people making it through an ordinary day and realizing God never left the room.
🪷If you’re in a season of not yet, maybe it isn’t punishment. 🤷🏼♀️Maybe it’s preparation. Maybe God is building something quietly. And maybe one day we’ll look back and realize the waiting taught us lessons too.
🪷Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the blessings we expected and the ones we never saw coming. Help us trust You when timing feels uncertain. Remind us that delays are not abandonment and waiting is not wasted. Teach us to see Your hand in the quiet places, in provision, in healing, in love, and in every ordinary moment. Amen.
🪷Reflection Questions:
1. What blessing in your life arrived differently than you expected?
2. Has there been a “delay” that later revealed purpose?
3. Where have you seen God provide even when life felt uncertain?
