ðķ Kitten Care 101
ðĄ 1. Preparation of the environment
âĒ Create a Safe Space: Arrange a warm, quiet little corner for the kitten to rest in (possibly a box or cage with a soft blanket) to make him feel stable in the early stages.
âĒ Remove Danger: Keep wires, small items, chemicals, and poisonous trees out of the reach (and mouth!) of kittens because they will explore the world by biting and clambering.
ð―ïļ 2. Food and health care
âĒ Appropriate Diet: Feeding should be provided exclusively for kittens (Kitten Food), which are high in nutrients and essential to growth until 1 year of age.
âĒ Clean Water: Always Prepare Clean Drinking Water
âĒ Bathroom access: Teaching to use litter box, should use sanitary sand that does not mix too much perfume in the early days, and place the litter box in an easy-to-reach place.
âĒ See a veterinarian: Take to check-up, deworm and vaccinate as soon as possible.
ð 3. Socializing and playing
âĒ Socialization: Carrying, hugging, and talking to kittens often to make them feel familiar to humans.
âĒ Playtime: Kitten has high energy. Should play with him at least 2-3 times a day, 10-15 minutes at a time, to release energy and build a bond.
âĒ Toys: Use safe toys such as cat fall sticks, balls to practice hunting skills and prevent him from using our hands / feet as toys.
ð 4. Behavior management
âĒ Practice: A cat can learn by giving Positive Reinforcement when he does well, such as giving small snacks or compliments.
âĒ Manage naughty: If he scratches or bites at play time, stop playing immediately and walk away, so that he knows that the behavior ends the play (do not scold or punish harshly).
âĒ Nail Sharpening: Prepare a nail pole in many different ways to teach him to use it instead of furniture.
