Normalize being REAL!
Today I was running late. I managed a shower and getting dressed, but doing my hair and makeup wasn’t an option. I snapped this pic to remind myself that we are beautiful without all that nonsense! I love having my hair and makeup done, and I feel super confident when I do— but I should feel confident and beautiful without too! Yes, this photo is taken in sepia tones but I did no edits to smooth out my skin, no smoothing out my mom belly, none of that! And I felt great!
PS! This outfit is a great transition from summer to starting to feel the cooldown into fall here in Maine— as the bodysuit is a thicker one, that is a sweater material, and I brought a black and white boyfriend fit flannel with me. Ripped jeans and a pair of white adidas all stars with my usual jewelry— diamond studs and silver moonstone ring finished off the “look”. Simple and understated can be hot, too! 😆#unfilteredself #embracingtherealme #unfilteredandunbothered #naturalhair #unfiltered #summerdiary #lemon8contest #lemon8diarychallenge
In today's world, there is immense pressure to conform to unrealistic standards of beauty often portrayed in social media. Embracing authenticity not only boosts self-confidence but also inspires others to appreciate their natural selves. Focus on how you can transition your wardrobe for seasonal changes without losing your style. Thicker materials can provide comfort during transitional weather, and layering with simple pieces like a boyfriend flannel can elevate outfits effortlessly. Additionally, the conversation around 'no makeup' trends is growing, emphasizing that beauty comes in many forms. It's essential to share your unfiltered moments; they resonate with others and foster a sense of community and support. By openly discussing experiences of self-acceptance and showcasing unedited photos, you contribute to a more inclusive dialogue about beauty standards. Every individual has unique features—celebrate them! Remember, confidence is not dependent on mirrored reflections but on how you feel about yourself inside and out.
