Just A Girl and Her Bread Maker Pt. 1 🍞🤎
After watching everybody make sourdough and homemade bread, I finally decided to see what all the hype was about. So I bought a bread maker and started my own little bread-making journey.
I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, but that’s part of the fun. 😂 Join me as I learn, experiment, make mistakes, and (hopefully) bake some really good bread along the way.
If you’re into cozy hobbies, homemade recipes, or you’re thinking about getting a bread maker too, you’re in the right place. 🤎 it’s the #littlethings
Starting my bread-making journey with a bread maker has been such an exciting and rewarding experience. Even though I began with zero knowledge, the process of experimenting with different recipes and settings has taught me so much about baking basics and the nuances of homemade bread. One of the first things I realized is how a bread maker simplifies the process — it handles kneading, rising, and baking all in one appliance, which is perfect for beginners like me. A big part of the fun has been discovering how versatile the bread maker can be. From classic white bread to experimenting with sourdough-inspired recipes, each loaf has its own unique flavor and texture. I’ve also learned that patience is key—allowing the dough to rise fully and giving the machine enough time to complete each cycle makes a huge difference in the outcome. Sourdough can seem intimidating at first, but with a bread maker, it becomes much more accessible. Although traditional sourdough requires maintaining a starter culture, many bread makers come with sourdough settings or allow you to manually control fermentation times to achieve similar results without too much hassle. Beyond just baking bread, having this new hobby has brought a cozy, comforting vibe to my home. There’s something incredibly satisfying and heartwarming about the smell of freshly baked bread filling the air. It’s also encouraged me to explore other homemade recipes and embrace a slower, more mindful approach to cooking. If you're considering getting a bread maker or just curious about bread making, I’d say go for it! Don’t be afraid to make mistakes—that’s part of the learning curve and what makes each loaf your own creation. Plus, sharing fresh homemade bread with family or friends is an amazing feeling and a great way to connect over food. You don’t need to be an expert to enjoy the process and the delicious results.
