Book Review: House We Grew Up In

Lisa Jewell does it again folks. This one comes with a plethora of trigger warnings for people with mental illness or history of self harm and ideation. The emotions were raw, and she didn’t withdraw from the not-so-subtle sadness that loomed throughout the entirety of the book. No, it didn’t “feel good” but the by the end it felt “resolved.” I found myself experiencing relief as though I was capable of moving forward WITH the characters I had found myself invested in. 4/5 #lemon8challenge #lemon8bookclub #lemon8bookchallenge #thoughts #honestbookreview
