Here’s my monthly empties for the month of May!
- “Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Powder Foundation” in shade 110 Porcelain. I use this to set my under eyes & around my nose & cheeks since I wear glasses as well as setting my whole face before I use powder products. It works well for me & does run off a little where my glasses run throughout the day but nothing a little touch up can’t fix! Doesn’t leave me cakey or anything. I purchased mine from target, but you can get it at Walmart, Amazon, cvs, Ulta too!
⭐️Overall rating: 5/5 works great for my skin & is relatively priced for drugstore makeup!
- MAC Extra Dimension Skin Finish in Double Gleam” I’ve been using this highlighter for over a year & I just now hit Pam on it. I use it pretty frequently too throughout the week! Very buildable & when blended can also be very natural. I bought this at Marshall’s so I’m not sure if this is a discounted shade or not. I’d buy this again!
⭐️Overall rating: 5/5 works great & is such a pretty color.
- “Kara Beauty Brow Lift” I bought this & love it! Definitely seems like it could be a dupe for the nyx brow glue. When I put this on I run a different clean spoolie through my brows & it sets them for the whole day & they don’t budge! I bought mine from Marshall’s but I think you can also purchase it from Kara Beauty’s website too!
⭐️Overall rating: 5/5 love it so much I bought another! Keeps my thick brows in place all day!
- “Elf Enhancing Lash & Brow Serum” I’ve purchased a mini of this & the full size on two separate occasions & both times I feel like this did nothing for my brows or lashes! I use this at night for the past few months & haven’t noticed a difference in length for my brows or lashes. I’ve purchased mine from Marshall’s, but you can buy it at Walmart, Target, Amazon, & Ulta.
⭐️Overall rating: 2/5 didn’t notice a difference in my brows or lashes & I’ve been using it for a few months. Don’t think I’ll repurchase again.
- “The Inkey List Tranexamic Acid Serum” I bought this after watching Emily Adeline on Tik tok & I’m obsessed! This works so good with my other skin care prep before makeup, make everything go on so much smoother! This is definitely a rebuy for me! I’ve purchased mine from Marshall’s but you can get it from Sephora, Amazon, & The Inkey Lists website.
⭐️Overall rating: 5/5 will be repurchasing since I just recently ran out! Works wonders!

However, not all products can impress, as I found with the Elf Enhancing Lash & Brow Serum, which didn’t seem to deliver on its promises after consistent use. Finally, serums like The Inkey List Tranexamic Acid Serum show how vital skincare is to our beauty routines, helping makeup apply smoothly and evenly.
