My Supplement haul for PCOS ✨🌸

Today I am sharing with you my supplement haul that has helped me heal my body while having PCOS. Empowering each other with wellness knowledge is key! When we open up about our health journeys and what works for us, we inspire and support other women to find their own paths to feeling our best. 🩵✨

I started my BodyRecomp journey last year, when I was nearly 300lbs. It seemed like an impossible mountain to climb.

Nevertheless, I chose to climb this mountain. I will do the things I said I cannot do, otherwise I may never know. But, I know with absolute certainty the other side of this mountain waits the best version of myself. 🫂✨💕

Below is additional information on these supplements and why I chose them!:

🍋 BERBERINE:

Insulin Sensitivity:

•Berberine helps improve insulin sensitivity, which is often impaired in women with PCOS. This can lead to better regulation of blood sugar levels and reduced insulin resistance.

Hormonal Balance:

•It may help balance hormones by reducing androgen levels (such as testosterone), which can be elevated in PCOS, thereby improving symptoms like acne and excess hair growth.

Menstrual Regulation:

•Berberine has shown promise in regulating menstrual cycles in women with PCOS, promoting more regular ovulation and potentially increasing fertility.

Weight Management:

•It can aid in weight loss or weight management, which is important as many women with PCOS struggle with weight gain and obesity.

Anti-inflammatory Effects:

•Berberine has anti-inflammatory properties that may help reduce chronic low-grade inflammation often seen in PCOS, potentially improving symptoms like pain and inflammation.

🩵COLLAGEN PEPTIDES

Skin Health:

•Collagen peptides support skin elasticity and hydration, reducing wrinkles and promoting a youthful appearance.

Joint Health:

•It helps maintain joint health and flexibility by supporting cartilage and connective tissue.

🍄‍🟫 LIONS MANE

Brain Health:

•Lion's Mane mushroom is believed to support cognitive function and memory.

Nerve Regeneration:

•Studies show it may promote nerve growth and repair, potentially benefiting those with neurological conditions.

🌱ASHWAGANDA

Stress Reduction:

•Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that helps the body cope with stress and anxiety.

Hormonal Balance:

•It may balance cortisol levels and support thyroid function, potentially aiding in hormone regulation.

🥦🥬SUPERGREENS

Nutrient Boost:

•Super greens like Bloom provide a concentrated source of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

Detoxification:

•They may support detoxification processes in the body due to their chlorophyll content.

🌱💪🏽PLANT BASED PROTEIN POWDER

•Provides essential amino acids necessary for hormone synthesis and helps in managing weight by promoting satiety and supporting muscle mass. It can also help stabilize blood sugar levels, which is beneficial for managing insulin resistance often associated with PCOS.

🧬 INOSITOL

•Particularly myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol forms are commonly used. They play a crucial role in insulin signaling pathways, thereby improving insulin sensitivity and helping to regulate menstrual cycles in women with PCOS. Inositol also supports ovarian function and may help reduce symptoms like hirsutism and acne.

🌱 PSYLLIUM HUSK

Blood Sugar Regulation:

•It can help stabilize blood sugar levels by slowing down the absorption of sugar in the intestines, which is beneficial for managing insulin resistance associated with PCOS.

Weight Management:

•By promoting a feeling of fullness and reducing appetite, psyllium husk can support weight management efforts, which is important as excess weight can exacerbate PCOS symptoms.

Hormonal Balance:

•Improved digestive health and regular bowel movements can indirectly support hormonal balance and overall well-being in individuals with PCOS.
