Surgery Diary – Day 5 – Part 7
Transfusion Complete 🇹🇷
And that’s a wrap.
Both units of blood are officially onboard and circulating like eager new recruits. The transfusion finished smoothly with no issues, no reactions, and no fuss.
Now it’s a waiting game.
Four hours to let everything settle, then more bloods to check whether the internal top-up has done its job and dragged my levels back into respectable territory or if I need 1 more unit.
So for the moment I’m parked up in recovery mode.
Feet up.
Fluids in.
Netflix on.
Body quietly doing its mysterious repair work.
Strange how something as simple as a couple of bags of red liquid can make such a difference, but modern medicine continues to work its quiet magic.
Fingers crossed the next set of results bring good news and a bit more strength back into the system.
Step by step.
Hour by hour.
Getting there.
