The reason why many people are spiritually blind is because they are following spiritually blind leadership
we was told to ignore the blind guides and people are flocking with blind guides.

Matthew 15:14
so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.”
In Matthew 15:14, Jesus says, "Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit," referring to the religious leaders of Israel. The passage centers on a conflict over authority, hypocrisy, and what truly makes a person unclean.
The Pit: The "pit" or "ditch" represents spiritual ruin, divine judgment, and the consequence of rejecting the truth of God. Because both the leaders and their followers lacked spiritual sight, they were destined for disastrous consequences.
Prioritizing Tradition Over Truth: Jesus rebuked them, accusing them of elevating their own man-made religious traditions above the actual commandments of God.
True Defilement: Jesus taught the crowd that what goes into the mouth (unwashed food) does not spiritually defile a person. Instead, the evil things that come out of a person's mouth reveal a sinful heart.

The concept of 'lieology'—a term I’ve come to understand as false doctrines or distorted theology—resonates deeply because it highlights the reality that not all teachings labeled spiritual or religious are rooted in truth. Jesus' warning in Matthew 15:14 about 'blind guides' struck me as painfully accurate when observing modern spiritual leadership. These leaders, though often charismatic and well-learned in their own traditions, sometimes push man-made rules that overshadow God’s original commandments. This can create confusion and spiritual blindness among their followers, trapping them in legalism or deception. In practical terms, pushing back against such misleading teachings requires discernment and courage. One effective method I have found is returning to Scripture directly and prayerfully, rather than relying solely on human interpretation or popular platforms where false teachings can proliferate unchecked. Social media, including Facebook Live, YouTube, and Lemon8, can be double-edged swords: they spread valuable insights but can also disseminate errors rapidly. We must therefore engage critically and encourage others to seek God's truth earnestly. Moreover, recognizing that the 'pit' mentioned by Jesus symbolizes spiritual ruin helped me understand the stakes involved if false teachings go unchallenged. It’s not just an intellectual exercise but a matter of eternal consequence. Ultimately, the battle against 'lieology' is a call to deepen one’s personal relationship with God, embracing true theology that transforms hearts rather than simply adhering to rituals or traditions. For anyone feeling spiritually blind or disoriented, I encourage you to seek out trustworthy mentors and communities grounded in Scripture and to be bold in questioning teachings that don’t align with God’s word.
