Back to the Crescent Coast
I’ve been slowly finding my way back to writing after a very difficult few weeks.
Thank you to everyone who showed kindness after the loss of Jax. It truly meant more than you know.
Tonight, I finally opened my manuscript again and stepped back into Crescent Coast for the first time in a while.
Book 2 is still on the way, and I’m hoping to share more updates very soon. ❤️
Stepping back into a creative project after experiencing personal loss can be both challenging and therapeutic. Many writers find that returning to familiar characters and settings offers a sense of comfort and continuity, helping them process emotions while nurturing their passion for storytelling. In this case, revisiting Crescent Coast not only signals a renewed commitment to writing but also suggests that the author is using their craft as a healing tool. For fans of the series, this means they can look forward to deeper developments and emotional layers in Book 2, as the author's own journey of recovery may reflect in the narrative depth and character growth. If you’re also recovering from difficult times while pursuing creative goals, consider embracing a gentle, patient approach to your work. Starting with small writing sessions or revisiting beloved stories can provide motivation without overwhelming pressure. Sharing gratitude and receiving support from a community, as expressed by the author following the loss of Jax, highlights the importance of connection during tough periods. Overall, returning to Crescent Coast marks not just a resumption of writing but a meaningful step in personal healing—a reminder that creativity often flourishes through resilience and the support of others.
