I am not trying to ignore what’s going on, but I want to handle this situation with care. I am working on a few statements to address everything that has been going on, but this is a delicate matter. We are all chronically ill and disabled. We are vulnerable individuals. Therefore, I believe I need to handle this situation with extra care. So, I hope you can understand that I am taking my time to do manage this most appropriate with the least amount of distress. Please be patient with me. And in the meantime, feel free to utilize some of my favorite coping skills. I can attest to the fact that they do in fact help. Please hang in there. ❤️‍🩹

... Read moreLiving with chronic illness and pain often means facing daily challenges that affect both physical and emotional health. The coping skills mentioned—impermanence, deep breathing, distraction, mindfulness, and dissociation—are powerful tools that many find invaluable in managing their symptoms and reducing stress. Impermanence involves reminding yourself that no feeling, good or bad, lasts forever. This mindset allows you to navigate painful moments with hope and patience, understanding that better days will come. Deep breathing exercises stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, triggering the 'rest and digest' state. This physiological response lowers heart rate and breathing, promoting calmness and reducing anxiety. Distraction can be a practical way to shift focus away from pain or distress. Engaging with joyful activities—like spending time with pets, listening to music, connecting with friends, or immersing yourself in writing—can uplift your mood and provide temporary relief. Mindfulness helps break the cycle of worrying about the future or dwelling on past difficulties by gently bringing attention back to the present moment. Focusing on things that make you feel safe and comfortable supports emotional stability. Dissociation, used carefully, can allow you to detach from overwhelming thoughts or emotions temporarily, offering mental respite. However, it’s important to practice this skill mindfully to avoid feeling disconnected. Incorporating these coping strategies into daily routines can empower individuals with chronic conditions to handle their experiences with greater grace and less distress. Remember, managing chronic illness is a personal journey—finding what works for you and practicing patience is key to enhancing quality of life.

Trying Chamberlain Coffee
I’ve been watching Emma since her very first fidget spinner video (iykyk). Watching her grow and seeing her accomplishments has been such an amazing thing to witness as a fan, and she has always inspired me with her elegance and grace throughout her early 20’s (being a fellow peer). It’s shocki

Okay hear me out lol!! I'm not done trying to be healthy. I've struggled my entire life with my body image and this dream of being skinny and tiny. My body isn't meant to be skinny in the way I want to be. Even when I was a kid and considered skinny, I was never skinny. I'm not
