Who’s Moni? Let’s start creating a women’s circle!
This is kinda cool!!!
If you know me from tok, you’ve probably only seen pregnancy and womens health content.
With how this app is set up, I think it would be great to actually create a womens wellness circle here where we can all get to know each other, create connections, make new friends and support each other.
I’ll start! :Here’s a few fun facts about me:
I am a licensed midwife, practicing for 9 years & supporting in birth centers and home births.
I started attending births in 1997 and trained and certified as a doula in 1998, having attended thousands of births in hospital, home and birth centers over the past 28 years.
I am very big on education and advocacy and believe whole heartedly in informed consent.
Being a woman who has been through many women’s health issues all of my life, I feel it’s so important for us to understand our bodies and our options when it comes to taking care of ourselves.
I’m very holistic minded and believe pregnancy and birth is normal and physiological while still embracing the need for medicine when necessary and wanted.
I’m a certified kripalu and prenatal yoga instructor and have been studying and practicing for the past 17 years. Yoga, meditation & mindfulness are big parts of my life. Always a work in progress.
I love music and have played the piano since I was 15, I’ve been married 26 years to the love of my life (we only knew each other 5 months when we married! We beat the odds!).
Prior to midwifery, I majored in English and nursing and love writing - stories, poetry, articles, education material.
I enjoy crocheting and creating all natural body care products like lotions, soaps & my specialty “down there care” for normal everyday & postpartum vaginal healing.
Can’t wait to read yours! ✨

Building a true women's wellness community is something I've dreamed about for a long time, and I truly believe Lemon8 is the perfect place to make it a reality! So, what exactly does a 'women's wellness circle' mean, and why should you consider being a part of it? For me, it's about creating a safe, nurturing space where we can connect on a deeper level than just surface-level interactions. Imagine a sisterhood where you feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported through all of life's ups and downs. It's a place to share our journeys, celebrate our wins, and lean on each other during challenges. Think about all the incredible wisdom we hold as women. In our circle, we can tap into that collective knowledge. For instance, if you're navigating pregnancy or the postpartum period, having experienced insights from others—perhaps even from someone with a background as a licensed midwife who understands the nuances of birth and infant care from firsthand experience—can be incredibly empowering. We can discuss everything from informed consent in healthcare choices to understanding our bodies better. It's not just about serious topics, though! A wellness circle is also about embracing holistic well-being in all its forms. Perhaps you're keen to explore mindful movement, like a gentle yoga practice, or you want to find ways to de-stress. I personally find so much calm in my yoga flow, and I know others do too. We could share tips on simple stretches perfect for any time of day, or even explore different meditation techniques. And let's not forget the fun, creative side of wellness! I've always found joy in crafting and creating. Imagine sharing ideas for natural body care products – maybe even discussing how to make your own soothing DOWN THERE CARE balms or SITZ BATH sachets, much like those useful PERI SACHET options, for personal comfort. Or perhaps you're a crafting enthusiast yourself, whether it's crocheting, painting, or even playing an instrument like a digital piano. These hobbies are vital for mental well-being, and sharing them enriches us all. Our circle could be a space to exchange recipes for healthy, delicious foodie delights, discuss sustainable living tips, or simply uplift each other with positive affirmations. There's so much to learn when we open ourselves up to diverse experiences. We can talk about how to integrate holistic health practices into our daily lives, from nutrition to emotional resilience. The beauty of a women's wellness circle is that it evolves with us. It's a living, breathing community shaped by the members who join. My biggest hope is that it becomes a true haven where you feel inspired, educated, and deeply connected. If you're looking for a place to grow, share, and be authentically you, then this is for you. Let's start building this incredible network of support and friendship today!
