🥖 Burrata Bruschetta 🍅
𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
For the Bruschetta:
4 slices of crusty bread (sourdough, baguette, or ciabatta)
1 ball of fresh burrata cheese (about 8 oz)
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
2 tbsp olive oil (for tomatoes)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
For the Basil Drizzle:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
1 tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped
A pinch of chili flakes (optional)
For Garnish:
Fresh basil leaves
Additional olive oil for drizzling
𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
Toast the Bread:
Preheat a grill pan or toaster. Lightly brush the bread slices with olive oil and toast until golden and crispy. Set aside.
Prepare the Tomatoes:
In a skillet, heat 2 tbsp olive oil over medium heat. Add the halved cherry tomatoes, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until they soften and slightly blister.
Make the Basil Drizzle:
In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar (if using), chopped basil, and chili flakes.
Assemble the Bruschetta:
Place the toasted bread slices on a serving board or plate.
Tear pieces of burrata and distribute them generously over each slice.
Top with the blistered tomatoes.
Garnish & Serve:
Drizzle the basil olive oil mixture over the bruschetta. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and an extra drizzle of olive oil. Serve immediately and enjoy!
