2 Months Sober!

After my relapse this fall, I’ve finally made it to 2 months of sobriety.

This climb felt a lot more difficult than the first one. The days felt longer, the mental battle was stronger, and the fight was much more intense.

In all of that, I learned more about myself. I grew even more than I did the first time.

I reclaimed my power over my addiction and I found new ways to get even stronger.

My relapse set me back — until I decided to use it to propel me even further.

... Read moreReaching two months of sobriety, especially after a relapse, is a significant milestone that many on this path will deeply relate to. The journey of recovery isn't linear; setbacks can feel devastating but are often part of the growth process. Mentally, the struggle can intensify during this period, as one battles cravings and emotional hurdles that may seem longer and more difficult than before. During these challenging times, it's vital to develop new coping strategies—whether through therapy, support groups, mindfulness practices, or physical activities—that help rebuild resilience and reinforce commitment to an alcohol-free lifestyle. Reflecting on your experiences, both the progress and relapses, provides valuable insights into triggers and personal strengths. Many on sobriety journeys find that transforming relapse into motivation to push forward not only strengthens their resolve but also deepens their understanding of addiction and recovery. Maintaining openness about struggles and victories creates a supportive environment for others going through similar experiences. Remember, each sober day adds up to a powerful testimony of endurance and self-discovery. Celebrating small wins, like reaching two months sober, encourages continued progress and empowerment over addiction. Keep focusing on personal growth, reclaiming control, and building a healthier future free from alcohol's hold.

I’m 9 months sober
Being sober has changed my life in ways I would never want to take back. But, at other times; I just feel alienated. Completely unthought of. I’m going to be brutally honest. I feel invisible now. I wouldn’t trade my sobriety for friends but damn that sounds like a devil of a decision 😒🥺

7 Year Sober Anniversary
SEVEN years ago today I started my mental health journey & part of that was making a commitment to myself to stop drinking. One day turned to weeks turned to months turned to years. It changed my life & I’ll forever be proud of this day. 🫶 #soberisthenewbeautiful #soberissexy #sobriety
