Your brain is constantly making predictions about what comes next.

And when you’ve been dealing with chronic symptoms for a long time, those predictions can start getting very convincing.

A sensation shows up.

Your brain recognizes it.

Attention locks onto it.

Fear rises.

You monitor it more closely.

And all of that information feeds the prediction that the symptom matters and deserves even more attention.

That’s the loop.

The powerful part is that prediction can change.

Every time you experience a sensation with a little more curiosity, a little more allowance, or a little less urgency, your brain gets new information.

Over time, those new experiences can begin changing what your brain expects.

Your brain learned the pattern.

Your brain can learn a new one too. 🧠

3 reasons to go no-contact
no-contact is a scary step to take, I get it. but basically in short, the more you’re in contact, the more you’re reinforcing your attachment to them. no-contact is similar to withdrawing substances, so you need to think of it like it’s going to get worse before it gets better. your brain just need
