Highly Recommend This Bridal Gown Studio!

I know there are already many reviews for The Gown Connoisseur (TGC), but here’s one more to affirm all you brides-to-be out there! ✨

Just like many of you, I was overwhelmed by the endless options of bridal studios. I imagined the whole dreamy process of visiting different studios, trying on gowns, twirling around, and eventually saying “yes” to the dress. But reality, of course, always turned out to be completely different! We shortlisted TGC mainly because of their straightforward pricing system. No hidden costs, no packages. You simply pay for the number of gowns you want. They also run promotions from time to time, which makes it even more value for money!

On our first visit, I was beyond excited!! Nothing compares to the feeling of trying on a wedding gown for the very first time. I was served by Shermin (highly recommend her 💕 though the rest of the staff are also really sweet!) and during the first appointment, the process is simple: they hand you an iPad to select the styles you’d like to try (A-line, mermaid, ballgown, etc.), but if you’re unsure, not to worry, they’ll suggest and bring out a variety for you.

Here’s what I loved: gown trying is unlimited. I honestly didn’t realise this wasn’t common elsewhere. Some studios limit you to 3–4 gowns per visit, which feels impossible when you’re making such a big decision 🫣. At TGC, you can try as many as you like!! They’ll first bring out a few gowns based on your choices, and then continue adding more for you to try. You’ll put on the gowns yourself while they help with fastening — nothing awkward at all (something I was initially worried about 😅). And let me tell you, that very first gown moment hits so differently… even if it’s not “the one,” the emotions are real. My husband and mom came with me, and I could see their eyes glistening right from the start. 🥹 I'm sure their feelings were indescribable too.

Usually, the first appointment won’t see you making your pick. It's really to get a feel of the gowns and the studio’s vibes. Once you sign with them, you can always book more appointments to continue trying (for free!). Gown-trying is surprisingly tiring, so I appreciated the relaxed pace and nice environment. Even though TGC was the very first studio we visited, we signed with them right away — no regrets at all. I’m super indecisive, so the thought of hopping across multiple studios and juggling endless choices just wasn’t for me.

Our first appointment was 10 months before the wedding, so I didn’t decide immediately. I went back for another session before the first fitting (where they take measurements), and that’s when I said yes to my dresses! I chose a classic white gown and a dreamy pink gown for the evening reception. I absolutely adored the pink one!! The colour was perfect, and it made me feel like a princess. 👑 TGC also has a beautiful selection of coloured gowns, so I’m sure you’ll find one that suits you!

Few days before my wedding, the gowns were delivered to my home and after the big day, I just left them at my hotel concierge for collection. Honestly how fuss free is that!

✨ Overall, I can’t recommend TGC enough. If you’re looking for a no-frills, transparent, and affordable gown rental studio with great service and gorgeous gowns, TGC is truly bang for your buck!

... Read moreIf you’re like me, navigating the world of bridal gowns can feel overwhelming, but The Gown Connoisseur (TGC) truly makes the process enjoyable and straightforward. Unlike other studios that restrict you to trying just a few gowns per visit, TGC’s unlimited gown trials gave me the freedom to explore styles like A-line, mermaid, and ballgown at my own pace. The transparent pricing system was another huge relief — you pay only for the number of dresses you want, with no hidden fees or confusing packages. It’s rare to find such honesty combined with fantastic promotions that add real value to the process. Something unique I really appreciated was how comfortable the staff made me feel, especially Shermin, who was attentive and helpful throughout. Trying on gowns can feel awkward, but at TGC, you get the chance to put on the gowns yourself with gentle assistance for fastening, which made the experience relaxed and fun. They also offer a stunning selection of colored gowns, not just classic white, so if you’re thinking outside the box like me, you’ll find something truly special. I ended up choosing a dreamy pink gown for my evening reception that made me feel like royalty. Logistics were hassle-free too. The gowns were delivered to my home a few days before the wedding, and after the event, I simply left them at my hotel concierge for collection. It couldn’t have been easier. In short, if you want a bridal gown experience that’s honest, personal, and beautiful, I highly recommend visiting The Gown Connoisseur. It’s more than just a studio — it’s a supportive partner on your bridal journey.
