Doing the “working with one hand” again after 11 years. My baby is requiring attention at all times. But he is so cute that I can’t say no.

4/13 Edited to

... Read moreAs a mom who has recently returned to managing a skincare routine with a newborn, I completely understand the challenge of 'working with one hand' again. It’s been 11 years since I last dealt with this balancing act, and having a baby who is so adorable yet requires constant attention means my skincare routine has needed some clever adjustments. One key thing I've learned is to focus on simple, effective products that add extra moisture and nourishment quickly, given the limited time I can dedicate to skin care. For example, using hydrating serums and creams formulated for mature skin can be a game-changer, especially when approaching your 40s, as my skin routine now emphasizes maintaining its glow and elasticity despite the busy schedule. Also, incorporating multitasking products that combine moisturizing and protective benefits helps save precious time. I found myself relying on soothing moisturizing lotions that keep my skin hydrated throughout the day without needing multiple steps. Lastly, I recommend embracing the flexibility to do routines in short bursts whenever possible. Even a moment spent applying a nourishing facial oil or a moisturizing balm while holding or feeding the baby can make a difference over time. Remember, these small but consistent efforts help maintain skin health despite parenting demands. Balancing baby care and personal self-care is challenging but rewarding. Prioritizing simple, moisturizing skincare can keep your complexion healthy and glowing, all while responding to your baby’s needs effectively.
