Working in public places>>>

This is an unpopular opinion I feel, but I really prefer doing school work in big room with a lot of people working.

I know some people think it’s easier to get distracted, but with noise canceling head phones I kinda find the opposite. I think having other people around me working pushes me to keep working. I feel like ~uncomfortable~ if I start online shopping in big rooms because of the judgement (I’m sure it’s not actually happening, but the idea of it keeps me working).

I need to know what you guys think and if you prefer private excluded study spaces or large field study spaces!!

When surrounded by peers, the informal accountability encourages students to stay on task, reducing the temptation to engage in distracting activities like scrolling on their phones. Noise-canceling headphones can help manage background noise while still benefiting from the inspiring environment created by other focused individuals. Research has shown that many people find some level of distraction beneficial; the background hustle and bustle can provide energy and motivation. Furthermore, studying in beautifully designed spaces, such as grand libraries, enhances the overall experience, leading to increased engagement and satisfaction during study sessions. Sharing these thoughts can spark discussions on social media, allowing others to express their preferences between private and public study atmospheres. Initiating conversations about study techniques in community forums can also yield new strategies and insights, enabling a collective discovery of what environments yield the best results for studying. Strategies like creating 'study dates' with friends can further encourage productivity while enjoying the ambiance of a busy place, turning study time into a social and enjoyable experience.
