Little improvements I have made so far this year…
•Washing my hair less - This one is the hardest for me. I feel gross if I don’t take a full shower every morning, which includes washing my hair. I know that’s not good for it though, so I am trying to stick with every other day.
•Moving my body more - I have been lazy and unmotivated for years. I hate the idea of taking 30-60 minutes out of my day to go to the gym or wake up early and workout at home, so instead I just did nothing. Who says you have to go full force though? I was putting that on myself. Anything is better than nothing! I have found a simple 10 minute workout, going for a walk, or throwing on some music and dancing in the living room at least 3 times a week to be manageable for me.
•Drinking more water - I have only ever liked a cold glass of water on a hot day or when I wake up in the middle of the night. I know I was permanently dehydrated. I was getting headaches daily and had an eye twitch that I swear lasted 2 months straight until I decided it was time to get serious about drinking more water. It’s not realistic for me to go from nothing to drinking half my body weight in ounces, so I just try to drink more than nothing. I have been pretty good at making it to at least 40oz every day. I’ll call that a win.
•No alcohol at least 4 days in a row - It’s just a good idea. I don’t need to have a drink the majority of the week.
•Taking daily vitamins - Hoping this will help any deficiencies and make me feel better. It hasn’t been long enough to really notice anything yet, but 🤞.
•Tongue scraping - I’ve heard this is good for getting rid of built up bacteria and keep your breath fresher. Worth a shot!
