Replying to @wirelesspixels I finally tried the set of 240 @Languo Stationery brush tip acrylic paint markers and I have mixed feelings. I absolutely love the color range it’s unmatched… butttt there were a few weird behaviors that I noticed while using them. Overall I’m giving this set a 6/10 but let me know where you think this set falls! #paintpens #acrylicpaintmarkers #paintmarker #languoacrylicmarkers #languo
Okay, so after spending some serious time with these Languo 240 brush tip acrylic pens, I wanted to dive a bit deeper beyond just my initial review. If you're considering a massive set like this, there are definitely a few practical things to keep in mind to get the most out of them! First off, that incredible 240 color range is truly a dream for any artist, especially with those gorgeous metallic gold and silver additions. But with so many shades, organization is key! I highly recommend taking the time to create your own color chart or swatch sheet as soon as you get them. Why? Because, as I noticed, the color on the tip is pretty different from that actually coming out, and it's easy to get confused. Plus, it really helps you see the true vibrancy and undertones of each shade. Luckily, the carrying cases with their individual removable plastic hold rows make it super easy to keep them all sorted, whether you organize by color family or number. Now, let's talk about those little quirks. The splattering when I would pull the caps off was definitely annoying! My tip? Try giving the cap a gentle twist as you pull it off, rather than a straight yank. It seems to help reduce that mess. Also, if you notice any separation and yellow build-up inside, especially after they've sat for a bit, make sure to give them a really good shake before each use. Storing them horizontally can sometimes help with ink consistency too. And if you get a dried out pen right out of the box, don't despair! Sometimes it's just a loose cap, so always check those seals. It's a small hassle, but with 240 markers, a couple of duds might unfortunately slip through. When it comes to surfaces, these pens really shine on some materials. They were absolutely vibrant and don't bleed on wood, fabric, and 3D prints, which is fantastic for custom projects. However, I did notice the performance on metal and glass was a bit more temperamental. While they do work, they had a tendency to start beating up a little, and on glass specifically, they can rub off pretty easily. If you're planning on using them on these trickier surfaces, definitely do a small test patch first, and consider applying a clear sealant afterward to protect your work and ensure permanence. Finally, the price! I snagged mine for about $79, and for that price, I honestly think they're a great value despite the minor issues. Would I pay $230 for them? Probably not, as the quirks at that price point would be more frustrating. But if you can find them on sale, and you're looking for an expansive color palette to experiment with, these brush tip acrylic markers are a solid option. Just be prepared to do a little troubleshooting and swatch making, and you'll be creating colorful masterpieces in no time!
