The Holy Week

Holy Week is a profound time for reflection on the core beliefs of Christianity, especially focusing on Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection. One personal insight I’d like to share revolves around the power of Jesus’ blood, which many find difficult to fully grasp. The concept of Christ’s blood being life-giving can be complex, but it carries the heart of redemption for believers. When Adam sinned, sin entered humanity and was passed down through bloodlines—a truth acknowledged in Psalm 51:5. This raises the question: How can sinful humanity be redeemed through blood? The answer lies in Jesus being the "last Adam," as described in 1 Corinthians 15:45. Unlike the first Adam, Jesus was born of God and did not inherit sin through His blood. His blood is pure and life-giving. This purity restores the authority and relationship that sin had broken. Reflecting on this, I’ve experienced how embracing the power of Jesus’ blood brings spiritual renewal—it’s as though the life within that blood defeats the death caused by sin in our lives. Moreover, God’s plan, having "sealed the deal" by the precious blood of Jesus, means that the price for our freedom and restoration has already been paid in full. This assurance strengthens faith and encourages us to live in victory over sin and spiritual death. Holy Week thus serves as a vivid reminder not only of Jesus’ suffering and resurrection but also of the transformative power believers receive through His blood. As someone who has walked through doubts and challenges in faith, this understanding helped deepen my personal relationship with Christ. It highlights the season’s true meaning beyond rituals and encourages believers to internalize the grace and authority offered through Jesus’ sacrifice.
