Then vs. Now
These 2 photos were taken 4 years apart. The top photo you can clearly see that I'm way smaller than the one on the bottom. This is a result of me mentally shutting down! I let other’s control me and break my entire being. I completely lost myself and my worth!
My mental health was crap!!! The best way to put it is my identity had be stolen!!!
Fast forward to mid 2024, I was tired,becoming angry and aggressive (the violent type). I had started therapy again but it wasn't enough. My health over all was sh*t, which resulted in me loosing my job.I was still stuck in a trap, I couldn't escape! Until one day, I started reading my Bible and writing my prayers, as well as, saying affirmations.
Day by day, I felt myself gaining a little more confidence and my thought process was changing. I didn't mention that I in a relationship that I wouldn't wish on my enemy. At this point, I had enough! I refused to back down or fold and started growing as myself again.
A couple of months ago, I totally stood my ground and refused to be bullied by someone who clearly didn't care either way it went. I kept pushing for myself and my kids. I had to find the strength I thought was gone.
Now we're in December 2024, thank you God! I'm not divorced yet, but its in progress and free. Yes, I'm experiencing some financial situations but I thank God because he’s been provided for us! I'm very grateful.
I wrote this because I know there is another person facing circumstances that are scary for them and they don't think they'll ever be free. I want you to know that yes, freedom is a part of your birth rite and no one owes you! Your stronger than any lie that was told to you! Don't give up on your life and let the enemy win! Call or tell someone who can actually help you and give advice, not your homegirl who doesn't know how to handle her own business. Be vocal and stop accepting conditional love! Know your worth and trust that God will keep and provide for you!
