I’m going to explode #fyp #relatable #blackgirl
Dealing with people who switch between kindness and coldness can be incredibly draining. I’ve often found myself puzzled by friends who seem nice one day but distant or even hostile the next. It’s especially tough when you sense that their niceness might be fake, or that they don’t truly like you but continue interacting for appearances. This kind of behavior can make us question our worth and leave us feeling isolated. From my own experience, understanding that sometimes people’s inconsistent behavior is more about their own inner struggles than about you can be helpful. It doesn’t excuse hurtful actions, but it can lessen their impact on your self-esteem. It’s important to set boundaries and recognize when a relationship is more toxic than supportive. I also found it helpful to surround myself with people who are consistently positive and genuine, even if fewer. Authentic connections, no matter how small, make a big difference in emotional health. Sometimes, stepping back and focusing on self-care helps recharge and gain clarity about which relationships are worth maintaining. Lastly, it’s okay to feel frustrated and to express those feelings. Sharing experiences with others who understand, especially within communities that relate deeply, like the black girl community, can be validating and comforting. Remember, you deserve friendships that lift you up and respect your feelings, not ones that humble or confuse you unnecessarily.
