Healing Requires Accountability
Let’s stop acting like silence fixes things.
You can’t hurt someone, disappear, then pop back up like nothing ever happened and call it peace. That’s not healing that’s avoidance.
“Pretending nothing happened” is not an apology. It’s emotional laziness. It’s hoping time will do the work your accountability should’ve done.
If you cared, you’d acknowledge it. You’d say, “I see what I did. I’m sorry.” Not sweep it under the rug and expect the same love back.
Growth requires uncomfortable truth.
Sometimes that means admitting you were wrong. Sometimes it means not letting someone back in just because they finally miss you.
Closure doesn’t always come with a conversation sometimes it’s you realizing you deserved a real apology that never came.
So yeah… pretending nothing happened? That’s not peace. That’s disrespect.
🫶🏾 Keep your peace sacred. You don’t owe access to people who can’t own their mess.
