Homemade Horchata 🤍🤎

🇲🇽✨ In honor of Latin Heritage Month, I had to make one of my favorite traditional drinks—homemade horchata. Creamy, sweet, and perfectly spiced, it’s a classic that always feels like comfort in a glass.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup rice

• 2 cinnamon sticks

• 1 can evaporated milk

• 1 can sweetened condensed milk

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• Water or milk (to thin)

• Cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon (for garnish)

Directions:

1️⃣ Soak rice + cinnamon sticks overnight in water.

2️⃣ Blend for 2 minutes → strain.

3️⃣ Pour liquid back into blender with evaporated milk, condensed milk, vanilla + enough water or milk to reach your desired consistency.

4️⃣ Blend again + strain.

5️⃣ Serve over ice and garnish with a cinnamon stick or sprinkle of cinnamon on top.

✨ A simple recipe, but one that carries so much history, joy, and heart.
